As we discussed NCDOT was going to build and accept maintenance of the road. The plan has now changed. NCDOT will still build the road, however the Town of Granite Quarry will accept it as a public road. This road may potentially access other parcels and provide connectivity. Therefore it will be in the Powell Bill system and function as a town street. It seems pretty straightforward that this qualifies as a "other and /or transportation project" identified in the GS. Before we make our formal submittal I would like for you to tell me if DEMLR views this as transportation project that will allow us to us the NCDOT stormwater BMP's that are depicted on the plans as is. This is a rather time sensitive project, so your determination will help speed things along. Thanks again for your help. Feel free to call me if you need additional information.
