Mr. Lastmger and Ms Higgins:
A Nationwide Permit 12 Verification was issued for the proposed Sunset Bluffs Subdivision sanitary sewer
outfall July 17, 2014, and a corresponding 401 Water Quality Certification and Authorization Certificate
was issued July 10, 2014 After these permits were issued, the sewer design engineer modified the sewer
alignment in compliance with Town of Fuquay - Varina instructions The only alignment modification
occurs in the segment that crosses the Basal Creek floodplam The sewer line and easement have been
shifted approximately 15 feet south from their original location All other sewer outfall segments are
unchanged from the permitted design Wetland and buffer impacts are reduced as a result of this
modification, in comparison to permitted impacts Stream length impact remains unchanged, while stream
area impacted will increase by 20 ftz Permitted impacts for this sewer segment are detailed in the table
below, along with new impact totals resulting from the alignment modification, and the difference between
permitted and new impacts.
