Test ports will be located at all intersections and fire hydrant valves not located at intersections. 1 Fire Hydrants All Fire Hydrants and gate valves manufactured: Clow Medallion or American Darling Mark 73-5 All Fire Hydrant legs shall be DIP Fire Hydrant caps and bonnets shall be painted white Rust-Oleum/Oil Based — 7790 Flat White Minimum 6" leg for Hydrants Distance between Hydrants no more than 500' in subdivisions Gate valve required for each Hydrant Gate Valves All Gate valves shall be Clow or American Darling. All gate valve boxes to be screw type adjustable with 12" concrete around valve box. Brass fittings manufactured: Ford (compression type) Three valves required at intersections, At T's Two Valve Boxes require concrete donut around box Tracer wire requires Copperhead testing port inside TS specified valve box located at all intersections and fire hydrant valves located further than 100' from intersection. Service Taps Tapping sleeves to be stainless steel wrap -around Direct taps 3/" and 1" are allowed on DIP Water meter boxes (MBX 2-18" cast iron oval w/solid lid) for 3/ & 1" All fittings shall be Ford Brass All water services shall be Type K soft copper 1" x 3/ " x Y4 " Y Concrete valve markers required for all valves at main entrance to Subdivision and along major roads (SR, NC and US routes) Sewer Service All Gravity Sewer Lines SDR-35 PVC when 10' or less Gravity Sewer Pipe Deeper than 12' DIP.
