All water lines will be DIP located in pavement. Waterlines will be
on right side of pavement, PVC will be allowed when pipe is installed
in shoulders on existing roads.
Water line minimum bury depth is 3 feet to top of pipe under
pavement. If pipe is located on shoulder of existing roads, then pipe
will be a minimum of 4' bury depth.
Water lines will be installed under asphalt and Mega -lug restraints
standard throughout system.
Waterlines crossing under storm pipe shall have at least 24" of
separation. Over storm pipe 12" to 18"
All gate valves required Clow or American Darling.
Coated solid copper tracer wire and detector tape for PVC
Tracer wire requires Copperhead testing port inside TS specified
valve box for PVC only. Test ports will be located at all intersections
and fire hydrant valves not located at intersections.
Fire Hydrants
All Fire Hydrants and gate valves manufactured: Clow Medallion or
American Darling Mark 73-5
All Fire Hydrant legs shall be DIP
Fire Hydrant caps and bonnets shall be painted white
Rust-Oleum/Oil Based - 7790 Flat White

Gate Valves
