The applicant is proposing to develop a 21,702 sq. tractor supply store located in Denton, Davidson County, North Carolina. A collection system has been designed in accordance with 15A NCAC 02T, the Minimum Design Criteria for the Permitting of Pump Stations and Force Mains, and the Gravity Sewer Minimum Design Criteria. The proposed system will collect all proposed wastewater onsite at a pump station and connect via a proposed 2" force main to an existing offsite sanitary sewer collection system. The wastewater flow from the proposed tractor supply store will be conveyed to an existing regional WWTP owned and operated by Town of Denton WWTP. The proposed wastewater flow generated by the proposed project is calculated to be 1,880 GPD. The following is attached and shall be considered part of this package: 1. Review fee check in the amount of $480.00 made payable to NCDEQ; 2. One (1) original and one (1) copy of the Fast Track Application (FTA 06-21); 3. One (1) original and one (1) copy of the Flow Tracking/Acceptance for Sewer Extension Applications (FTSE 10-18); 4. Two (2) copies of the USGS Topographic Map with project area identified; 5. Two (2) copies of the Aerial Map with project area identified; 6. Two (2) copies of the existing permit NC0026689; 7. Two (2) copies of the site Wastewater Narrative including the power outage report from Energy United. Please do not hesitate to contact Nadeen Dashti at 252.491.8147 should you have any questions and/or concerns. Thank you for your attention to this project. Sincerely, Quible & Associates, P.C. Cathleen M. Saunders, P.E. Encl: as stated Cc: Town of Denton, Denton Development Group, LLC Wastewater System Extension Narrative Tractor Supply Co — Denton, NC September 19, 2022 General The site development proposes the construction of a 21,702 sq. ft. building that includes retail sales and additional outdoor display areas. The project development will include the associated parking, drainage, water, and wastewater improvements for the development of the 4.59-acre recombined lot. The proposed construction is proposed to connect into the existing offsite sanitary sewer collection system operated by Town of Denton WWTP. The wastewater generated from the project will be collected and conveyed via gravity to the proposed onsite wastewater pump station. Effluent from this private station will be conveyed by a proposed 2- inch forcemain to the existing sanitary sewer collection system that is operated by the town. Origin of Wastewater The origin of the wastewater includes facilities within the development. The proposed total flow generated by this project is calculated as follows: 100 GPD/1,000 S.F. @ 18,800 S.F. of retail floor area = 1,880 GPD 9,S9u GPD Private Pump Station The proposed pump station will include a 6-ft diameter wet well with over 6 hours of storage above the pump -on activation level. Energy United records indicate the longest outage (other than hurricanes and major events) within the last three years was 5 hrs and 46 minutes due to a vehicle crash. A 6' diameter pumpstation wet well is proposed. Dosing times will occur at a time interval of 1.4 cycles/hour. The station will be operated and maintained by an ongoing contract with a local ORC, Troy Branch. This operator will provide back-up power to the proposed pump station as needed. In addition, historical power outage data for the area indicates an average outage of approximately 2.5 hours between 2019-2021. The top of the pump station is set at elevation 718.50-ft, and is within flood zone "X". Both the venting and control panel are proposed at a minimum elevation of 722.00-ft Downstream Adequacy The proposed pump station forcemain will discharge into an existing gravity system and Quible & Associates, P.C. has confirmed the specified pumps can overcome the TDH within the proposed forcemain in order to discharge to the downstream gravity system. adequacy of the discharge point of the downstream forcemain. A downstream analysis of the proposed system has been completed based on anticipated lengths of the forcemain to be installed and proposed inverts. Wastewater Treatment Flows from this development are directed to Denton Wastewater Treatment Plant. The proposed wastewater will be treated at Denton Wastewater Treatment Plant, a WWTP owned by Town of Denton WWTP. The existing WWTP is permitted under NC0026689. QUIBLE & ASSOCIATES, P.C.
