As noted in the application, this project will consist of 3992 LF of 8" PVC and 241 LF of 8" ductile iron pipe sewer lines located East of 15-501 along the extension of Grant Drive and will connect to sewer being designed, permitted and constructed under separate cover. The sewer proposed within this application will serve Mellott Residential Subdivision containing 127 single-family homes within this development. The proposed project will meet all of DWR's minimum design criteria for sanitary sewer extensions. The design flow rate for this project is calculated at 22,860 gpd based on NCAC 2T Rules for wastewater flow rates and the DEQ approved sewer flow reduction of 60 gal/bedroom approved under separate cover. The proposed sanitary sewer lines are more than adequate to convey the design flow rates. Wes has indicated that the project name is The Mellott Pump Station and Utilities project and that it has reached a 90% milestone. It has not yet been submitted for permitting, but will be, soon. Please let me know if there is anything else you need! Thanks, Sue Morris Project Coordinator 115 Mac Kenan Drive Cary. I have added that minor clarification to the attached FTA, if you'd like to replace the one that was submitted. I have contacted Wes Hutchins at McKim and Creed for additional information on either the application date, permit number or project description of the downstream sewer project. I should be able to provide those details to you, shortly. 3. We have noted from previous conversations that the Developer's Operational Agreement is not quite appropriate for our projects and going forward, we will no longer include them, including, instead a Notice of Intent to Serve, signed by the Town of Pittsboro. For this project, I will assume that Kent Jackson will respond via email with confirmation of their intent to take over ownership of the sewer lines for this project, as you requested in item #3 in your email, below. Thank you, again, for reaching out with your questions and thank you, in advance, Kent for sending your confirmation email to Jason. Please let me know if there is anything else you need! Please confirm that the single-family homes are projected to be 3 bedrooms (the calcs appear to show this, but it isn't stated anywhere in the application. 2. Section V,1 states that the downstream sewer is being designed by McKim & Creed. Has this application been submitted? What is the name of the downstream project? 3. A Developer's Operational Agreement was included with this submittal_ As we've discussed for previous permit, I don't think that's quite appropriate, since it will be turned over to Pittsboro. In the future, we think it would be more appropriate to include a letter from Pittsboro stating that they plan to take over the project after Certification. And then the change of ownership form should be included with the Engineering Certification. 1 know this was only decided recently, since this application was submitted. For this one, we would Oust like Pittsboro's confirmation (via responding to this email) that they are planning on taking over ownership of this project. ------------ Jason T. Robinson, P.E.
