Daniel,
As discussed, you may need to request a Pre -Filing Meeting with the NC Division of Water Resources (NC DWR) to
comply with Federal Rule requirements for 401 Certifications. Information on requesting a Pre -Filing Meeting can be
found at: https://deq.nc.gov/about/divisions/water-resources/water-quality-permitting/401-buffer-
permitting/application-forms-help-documents. Since you submitted the Pre -Construction Notification (PCN) application
through the electronic PCN process and have a DWR number: 2022-0982, you may want to contact Robert Tankard or
Holley Snider with NC DWR concerning the Pre -Filing requirements associated with the project. I have also copied Ms.
Sheri Montalvo with NC DWR concerning any fees that maybe associated with the processing of the PCN application.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.
