I agreed that you can cut 15 feet on either side of the existing power lines on one parcel. The vegetation that will be impacted is red maple, sweetgum and privet. You agreed that you will move our conservation easement signs to the edge of the forest after clearing. You also agreed that privet and other invasive species stumps will be treated with a herbicide. Equipment staging will occur outside the easement to the greatest extent possible. You should check with the NC Wildlife Habitat Foundation in Greensboro to get permission for the other parcel. All of the properties that I manage can be found at this website http://portal.ncdenr.org/web/eep/parcel- information This website is updated approximately every quarter so please check back frequently. I ask that you share this with your counterparts throughout Duke Energy. Please respond that you concur with our agreement as outlined above or let me know what changes are needed. Additional coordination will be required for the next maintenance cycle. Thanks. I’ve reviewed the property documents and did not pick anything up that would prevent you from moving ahead as planned. Please limit the impact of this maintenance to the footprint of your power line right of way and try and avoid any disturbance to the adjoining conservation easement. As I mentioned on the phone, one of these sites appears to be managed by our DENR Stewardship program. I left a voice mail for Eric Galamb and am copying Will Summer on this email in the event they are aware of any reason to be in touch with you directly. 3 All the best and thanks again for checking in before cutting. I left Jessica a voicemail letting her know I had talked with you and to expect a phone call from you concerning this issue. If you have any questions, please let me know. Seems our WETLAND SITE located near 555 Hwy. 70 east in Goldsboro (near the Elroy Fire Station and Pump Station) needs to be cut. Our trees are in the power line and are causing problems for Duke. I told her NOT TO CUT until you talked to her. Please let me know if I can do anything. Sorry but you both were off on Friday. You may want to visit the site with her – I will leave that up to you.
