Seth the land surveyor needs to visit the site one more time to get zone impact correct. You attached image is very helpful. Quick note to confirm, according to Chris Smith, NCDENR: " the buffer starts at the top of bank which corresponds to the normal high-water mark. The attached image shows an example of the approximate location of this starting point for each side of the stream. The buffer extends perpendicularly from the stream edge and follows the stream contour. There is a 50 foot buffer imposed on each side of the stream. Please send any additional questions to Colleen Cohn." Once we have the impact map back from the land surveyor, I will submit it to you for your review. Hi Nicole, I've recently been hired part-time to help with some of the workload at the Raleigh Regional Office. I'm reviewing your Riparian Buffer Authorization Request for impacts at 1604 Malta Ave, and Colleen has forwarded some email correspondence that you've had regarding this permit application. The one piece of information that I still need is an Impact Map showing the two zones of the regulated riparian buffer and the footprint of the impact in each zone. I've attached an example of what this Impact Map can look like for a single-family project. I hope this information helps. I'll also need Keith Darman's email address because the Authorization will get emailed to him, and you'll be copied. Thank you for your help getting this information.
