Project Narrative: 308 W. Yacht Oak Island (Brunswick)
Clark Docking Facility
May 6, 2022
The applicant (Clark) is proposing to add a floating dock (8'x 16') to the existing docking
facility permitted under CAMA GP No. 70821. The floating dock extends over the USACE
Setback but has no pilings proposed. It will be attached via dual hinges and I -beams extending
from the end of the existing fixed platform (gazebo). The floating dock is proposed in PNA with
less than -2.0' at Normal Low Water in the AIWW. No oysters or coastal wetland vegetation are
in close proximity to the proposed floating dock location. The substrate is sandy and there is a
small patch of coastal wetland marsh fringe adjacent to the existing bulkhead.
The proposed floating dock is creating a proposed third slip.

In addition to this completed application form, (MP-1) the following items below, if applicable, must be submitted in order for the application
package to be complete. Items (a) — (f) are always applicable to any major development application. Please consult the application
instruction booklet on how to properly prepare the required items below.

b. An accurate, dated work plat (including plan view and cross -sectional drawings) drawn to scale. Please give the present status of the
proposed project. Is any portion already complete? If previously authorized work, clearly indicate on maps, plats, drawings to distinguish
between work completed and proposed.
c. A site or location map that is sufficiently detailed to guide agency personnel unfamiliar with the area to the site.
d. A copy of the deed (with state application only) or other instrument under which the applicant claims title to the affected properties.
e. The appropriate application fee. Check or money order made payable to DENR.
f. A list of the names and complete addresses of the adjacent waterfront (riparian) landowners and signed retum receipts as proof that such
owners have received a copy of the application and plats by certified mail. Such landowners must be advised that they have 30 days in
which to submit comments on the proposed project to the Division of Coastal Management.

This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.
