After investigating the Coliform exceedance that occurred during our July sampling event, in my professional opinion, the solids that are built up in our wastewater treatment system is the cause of the sporadic non-compliance issues. To remedy the situation, we removed 604,500 gallons of sludge between September 6t"-9t" 2022. This allows room in the digester for the approximately 3' of settled sludge from our Chlorine Contact Chamber. TCLP samples were collected on the sludge in the CCC. Our plans are to remove this sludge from the basin as soon as the results are in. We are targeting the end of September 2022 for this de-sludging event. The pumps are being set up this week to perform the work. As I stated earlier, it is my professional opinion that the solids in the system are the cause of our sporadic non-compliance issues and once removed, it will eliminate the exceedances we have experienced.
