Evans Ballahack Bank Credit Release — Task 5
Dear Mr. Ham:
On August 19, 2014, the Division of Water Resources (DWR), received Year 2 Monitoring Report
for the Evans Ballahack Bank Parcel submitted by Greene Environmental Services, LLC (GES) for
review and approval. On September 26, 2014, Katie Merritt, with DWR, requested proof of
renewal of the Performance Bond (# 22BSBGR5723) to cover the monitoring and maintenance
required for the subject bank. On September 29, 2014, GES submitted a copy of the Continuation
Certificate for the bond. The term of this bond will apply from October 31, 2014 to October 31,
2015. Therefore, GES is required to renew the performance bond prior to October 31, 2015. Future
credit releases will be dependent on both the renewal of this performance bond and the approval of
the annual monitoring reports.
According to the UMBI signed on May 1, 2013, the following Project Milestones have been met,
and the corresponding credits shall be released:

By copy of this correspondence, DWR confirms that you have satisfied the above requirements for
the above - referenced tract and 10% of your Tar - Pamlico riparian buffer credits (0.10 x 237,402 W
= 23,740.2 ft2) are now available for sale. Additionally, 10% of your nitrogen nutrient offset
credits (0.10 x 10,342.24 lb -N = 1,034.221b -N) and 10% of your phosphorous nutrient offset
credits (0.10 x 666.12 lb -P = 66.61 lb -P) are now available for sale. Please update your credit
ledgers accordingly.
Please note that nutrient offset credits generated at this site must be used for development
impacts in HUC 03020103 of the Tar - Pamlico River Basin. Additionally, the riparian buffer
credits must be used for impacts in the Tar - Pamlico River Basin according to guidelines in
15A NCAC 02B.0260. s
