TO ISSUE NPDES WASTEWATER
DISCHARGE PERMIT #NC0003468
Public comment or objection to the
draft permit modification is invited.
All comments received by August 29,
2022, will be considered in the final
determination regarding permit issu-
ance and permit provisions.
PERMIT APPLICATION
Duke Energy Progress, LLC, 526
South Church St., Charlotte, N.C.,
has applied for modification of its
NPDES wastewater permit
(NC0003468) for Dan River Com-
bined Cycle Station, 864 South
Edgewood Road, Eden, NC 27288,
Rockingham County. The facility dis-
charges treated industrial wastewa-
ter and stormwater to Dan River in
the Roanoke River basin. Some of
the parameters are water quality
limited. This discharge may affect
future allocations in this portion of
the Roanoke River basin. The loca-
tion of Outfall 001 is: Latitude:
36°29'7.9"; Longitude: 79°43'13.9".
