This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in NPDES WW Permit No. NCG550425. A summary of the findings and comments noted during the inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the inspection report. The Compliance Evaluation inspection was conducted by Division of Water Resources staff from the Asheville Regional Office. This inspection was conducted to determine if the system is being operated and maintained in compliance with General NPDES Permit No. NCG550000. Susan Hall was present during the inspection. The septic tank is located behind the home and the discharge pipe is located along the bank approximately halfway to the back left corner of the lot. Ms. Hall stated that the discharge pipe does not discharge, and no discharge was observed at the time of the inspection. The system does not presently have a disinfection system. The General Permit requires all systems to have disinfection. If chlorination is used as a disinfectant than the permit also requires dechlorination. The following deficiency was noted during the inspection: 1. Disinfection – Tablet: The facility lacks a disinfection system. NCG550425 17 (Cont.)
