Mr. Thornburg, Thanks so much for your quick response. Per your email, yes, we would like to request a permit correction request to change the reporting requirements from weekly to twice per year for Total Residual Chlorine and pH. We certainly appreciate your willingness to work with us on this matter. Can you please advise when we might expect this change to go into effect? Also do you know if the permit will be updated or an amendment filed with it? If there's another group I should contact or be working through for those questions, please let me know. Again, thanks so much for your help sir! Warm regards, G.W. Based upon your facility classification (SI) and permitted flow (500 GPD), we cannot remove sampling for Total Residual Chlorine and pH; however, we can reduce the sampling requirement to 2 x Year. If you’d like to have the sampling frequency reduced from Weekly to 2 x Year, please submit a permit correction request to my attention. An email is sufficient. Please note that my phone number is (919) 707-3653. Also, thank you for your patience while we are currently half-staffed. Sincerely, Nathaniel D. Mr. Thornburg: I'm following up on this email to see if you've had a chance to review it or have any expectations on when we might receive a response. I've called your mobile (919- 807-6453, given to me by Molly Nicholson at NC DEQ) on multiple occasions since sending this email and there's always a Verizon recording about the number being unavailable, without the ability to leave a voicemail. We've responded back to NC DEQ on the NOV's but it's our understanding your group will be the one helping us work out a way forward. We look forward to hearing from you. Thanks in advance for your help. G.W. Atkinson (919-306-4073) On Fri, Aug 12, 2022 at 9:33 AM GW Atkinson <gwatkins451@gmail.com> wrote: Hi Mr. Thornburg, My name is G.W. Atkinson and I am the current president of the Wake County Wildlife Club. We've been notified by NC DEQ of notice(s) of violation for failure to report on 2 weekly monitoring requirement parameters for permit no. WQ0005134. I was given your contact information by Molly Nicholson with NC DEQ, the contact person listed on the notice(s) of violation. Those weekly monitoring requirement parameters are: 1. PCS Code 50060 - Chlorine, Total Residual 2. PCS Code 00400 - pH The contractor that we pay to maintain this system has advised that he's seen similar systems/permits have these requirements removed. I've also been advised by Ms. Nicholson that you are the person that may be able to assist us in determining what our options might be going forward, e.g., changing the permit to remove these requirements, other. I'm also attempting to reach you by phone (919-807-6453) so that we may discuss, however Verizon continues to report that number being temporarily unavailable. Of course feel free to call me at 919-306-4073 if you receive this before we've had a chance to talk. Best regards, G.W. Atkinson President Wake County Wildlife Club PO Box 99048 Raleigh, NC 27624
