Inspection Summary:
Site is currently covered under an NCG02 permit. The site primarly functions as a mine. The quarry supplies Duke Energy
projects and DOT contracts and only runs 6 months out of the year. An asshalt and concrete plant are located onsite.
The concrete plant is not operational at this time. The stormwater discharge from the concrete and asphalt plant flows
towards the mine pit. Operators do cycle water through ponds and pits. The outfall was viewed during the inspection. Scrap
metal and mine equipment were staged near the concrete plant. No compliance issues were observed.
