Sonja,
The request to do turbidity sampling stems from a letter sent in 2008. It was requested for the purpose of gathering
data for the High Rock model/TMDL . There is no need to continue sampling for turbidity. Just sample the parameters
required in your NPDES permit.

Here is a calculator with City of Salisbury, Rowan WWTP numbers. You can play with it. This is just for your use only
and not to be shared. I am working on a new version to put on the NPDES website. You should be able to highlight and
print what you need.
Note, nickel and arsenic have Human Health criteria. So even though NC adopted new instream dissolved metal
standards for these parameters — they are protective of aquatic life. The state has always had more stringent Human
Health standards for these parameters. In the box below the Table, I calculated the NPDES limits Rowan WWTP would
get using the Human Health standards for nickel and arsenic.
