Hi, Robin,
I'm going to put you in touch with Brittany Carson, our General Permits coordinator, to help you with this. Currently our
permitting database system is down, so we can't make the updates at the moment, but Brittany will let you know
when she has. If you need an updated COC for this site, you can request one (after the changes have been made in our
system) by submitting a request through:
https://edocs.deg.nc.gov/Forms/COC-Renewal-Request
You will check the box that says "permit information is incorrect or old"
Alternatively, you can just run a permit summary report after you hear confirmation from Brittany and just keep that for
your records until the next COC renewal. The report will refresh 24-48 hours after she's entered the changes.
Best regards,
Bethany Georgoulias (she/her)

Based on the current guidance to minimize the spread of COVID-19, the Department of Environmental Quality has
adjusted operations to protect the health and safety of the staff and public. Many employees are working remotely or
are on staggered shifts. To accommodate these staffing changes, all DEQ office locations are limiting public access to
appointments only. Please check with the appropriate staff before visiting our offices, as we may be able to handle your
requests by phone or email. We appreciate your patience as we continue to serve the public during this challenging
time.

Good morning Bethany,
Although the Certificate of Coverage No. NCG080980 indicates the receiving waters as Great Coharie Creek, available
information shows the area drains south to Williams Old Mill Branch (18-68-1-10) which has a C;Sw stream classification.
Williams Old Mill Branch is not a 303(d) impaired water. Based on our meeting onsite with Melissa Joyner, there are two
SDOs rather than three. See attached for coordinates, location, and topo info.
Please let us know if you need anything else to update the receiving stream for the permit.

Robin

Good morning, Robin,
You will need to contact Ms. Bethany Georgoulias with the Stormwater Program at bethany.georgoulias@ncdenr.gov /
919-707-3641 with the correct receiving waters for the Certificate of Coverage which you said was not Great Coharie
Creek but Williams Old Mill Branch and also tell her that there are two outfalls (3 outfalls had been stated on the original
application for the Certificate of Coverage) and give her the latitude and longitude of these outfalls.
Kind regards,
Melissa
