The riprap channel to the stream needs to be installed per the approved SCM plan. This will require a buffer authorization for the buffer impacts. I don't see where that was obtained previously. One from the Town for zone 3 impacts, and a separate one from NCDEQ for zones 1 and 2 neuse buffer. The SCM overflow channel is considered an allowable impact, so no mitigation is required. The Town zone 3 application (NPA) is located on our website: https://link.edgepilot.com/s/9a229adf/I2RmtSDOdUGQMJ HE1rZDQ?u=https://www.apexnc.org/512/Riparian-Buffers The one for DEQ is on their website: https://link.edgepilot.com/s/85001963/Vnu7MvPciES71iBm1ZtvGw?u=https://deq.nc.gov/buffer-authorizations-and- variances On another note, the top and back side of the SCM embankment need to be stabilized asap to prevent sediment discharge into the buffer. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks. You are also correct about the rip rap channel. It appears that was initially shown but in the end was not needed as shown on the grading and erosion control plan. Is there anything we need to do on our end to get this resolved. There appears to be a disconnect about the riprap channel shown from the SCM outlet. It's shown on the SCM plan, but not the grading nor ec plan. Did ncdeq issue a buffer authorization for the impacts to zone 1 and 2 of the neuse buffer from that channel? Thanks.
