HomeMy WebLinkAbout820681_NOV-2022-PC-0363 Response_20220829To Whom it May Concern,
In request of DEQ, the notice of the violation that occurred June 22nd 2022.
Weeks Farms Inc had two troublesome lagoon discharge pipes become clogged with foreign
obstructions and resulted in over flow from building 2 and building 6. We have removed and relocated
all lost waste from around buildings and drainage system to our application fields. We have since had
drain cleaning services clean all pipes on site to help prevent this problem from arising again, currently
installing larger over flow drain plugs, and awaiting arrival of a slam gate to install on the end of the
rainwater drainage system for emergency shut off. Furthermore, we have increased and assed our daily
observation protocol with employees and stressed the upmost importance of containing these issues
before they arise. Including but not limiting to daily observation of in-house water levels, proper water
flow, and scheduled mowing of lagoon banks, application field monitoring and flushing of buildings. It is
with sincere assurance we deem to use all of our assets to prevent these issues from arising in the
future.
Sincerely,
Casey Johnson
