Morning Kim,
The proposed vessel indicated on the MP-4 form is 18 feet in length, which was the reasoning for the reduction in
boathouse size to 21 feet in length (to include the engine and covering the finger pier). The applicant indicated to me
that he hoped the supplemental minimizations included along with the reduction in boathouse size would be seen as
acceptable to overall reduction in shading impacts.
Can you provide additional information to the need to reduce the boathouse by half in regard to the existing A&M
proposal?

The DMF appreciates the minimization the applicant has proposed, however the Division recommends further reduction
of the boatlift cover. We recommend a reduction of 50%.

I spoke with Mr. Wiest and he will investigate A&M efforts. He currently proposing ThruFlow decking and is looking into
raising the elevation of the facility, an possible reductions in boathouse size or changes in materials to let more light
through, etc.
