Site inspection was conducted on August 29, 2022 by Kevin Mitchell with the Asheville Regional Office. Levi McFalls
and Hayden Stockton were present during the inspection. The following are items that need attention:
- Station L1 15+70 LT (Site 1 above culvert) - Measures are needed along right bank descending to prevent sediment
loss.
- Station L1 15+15 LT (W Marshall St) - Measures are needed to prevent sediment from entering stormwater inlet on
road. Recommend routine sweeping and adding a wattle around inlet if this doesn't interfere with traffic.
- Station Y5 15+80 RT - Need cover on exposed soil slopes. Remove 57 stone from left bank descending. Remove
fabric from JS.
- NPDES records were not up to date for last week. Record of weekly inspection was not on sheet. Please ensure that
these records are up to date and that a weekly inspection is being conducted.
