SUBJECT: WRC Comments on Davidson River Village Roadway project, Davidson River and UT
Davidson River, Transylvania County

Representatives of Davidson River Village, LLC requested a permit to install a 72 -in x 233 -ft culvert on
an un -named tributary to Davidson River with associated 36 linear feet of fill and to stabilize
approximately 280 linear feet of streambank along Davidson River, Transylvania County. Comments
from the NCWRC on this application are offered for your consideration under provisions of the Clean
Water Act of 1977 (33 U.S.C. 466 et. seq.) and Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act (48 Stat. 401, as
amended; 16 U.S.C. 661- 667d).
We do not object to this permit. The NCWRC does not have records of wild trout populations at this
location. We do not request the trout spawning moratorium for this project.
