Additional Information Request

Animal Waste Operation

Mr. Robert Gordon contacted me this morning about our additional information request letter dated July 14, 2000 regarding
your animal permit application. He had indicated that he thought your farm may now be below the threshold requiring a
permit per 15A NCAC 2H .0200 (100 confined cattle). There is no indication in our records that the Division.has been
notified that you would like your permit application withdrawn. If this is the case, I have enclosed a Request for Removal of
Registration that can be submitted back to us in lieu of completing the items requested in our previous letter.
There is no penalty or fee for removing your registration. If in the future an increase in population were desired, the same
permitting process would occur, as you are involved with presently. However, a permit would be required before the
population increased over the 100 head threshold. Please note that if you would like to continue with obtaining your permit
for a 380 head facility, the additional information requested in our July 14, 2000 letter will still be required.
Please submit either the requested information for your permit application or the enclosed Request for Removal of
Registration form by August 13, 2000. If you have any questions regarding this request, please call me at [phone],
