I am an attorney for Tapiwyhu-n, LLC and have reviewed your letter dated
September 3, 2014. Tapiwyhun, LLC's, only purpose is to hold the residential real
estate at 16700 Tinker Place; it does not transact any other business in North
Carolina.
North Carolina statute § 55- 15- 11{b }(11) states that owning real property is
not transacting business. My position is that the exception in the statute exempts
Tapiwyh-un. LL C from needing to register to do business in North Carolina. Please
