FOR PARKING LOT PERIMETERS AND FOR PARKING LOT INTERIORS.
(A) PARKING LOT PERIMETERS - A LANDSCAPED STRIP
EIGHT (8) FEET IN WIDTH SHALL BE REQUIRED ALONG
ANY SIDE OF A PARKING LOT OR RESIDENTIALLY ZONED
PROPERTY. THIS LANDSCAPING SHALL CONSIST OF , AT A
MINIMUM, ONE EVERGREEN OR DECIDUOUS TREE EVERY
EIGHTEEN (18) TO TWENTY-SEVEN (27) FEET. IF A
BUFFER STRIP IS REQUIRED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SECTION 657-4. THAN THE TEN FOOT WIDTH MAY BE

(8) PARKING LOT INTERIORS - INTERIOR LANCSCAPING

MAINTENANCE
(1) ALL EXISTING VEGETATION THAT IS USED TO MEET

SITE WORK NOTES:
1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT THE SITE TO BECOME FAMILIARIZED WITH
FIELD CONSTRUCTION CONDITIONS.

3. CLEARING AND GRUBBING: REMOVE ALL TREES, STUMPS, ROOTS,

STORAGE TANKS, ETC. WITHIN LIMITS OF CONSTRUCTION.
4. STRIPPING: BEFORE EXCAVATING OR FINING, REMOVE ALL TOPSOIL,
WOOD. LEAVES. AND ANY OTHER UNSUITABLE MATERIAL
5. MUCKING: REMOVE ANY SOFT, ORGANIC SILT MATERIALS AND EXISTING
BURIED CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS AS REWIRED AND FILL TO SUBGRADE
ELEVATIONS WITH A CLEAN SELECT -FILL COMPACTED AS SPECIFIED.
S. DISPOSAL: CLEARED. GRUBBED. STRIPPED OR EXCAVATED SPOIL SHALL BE
REMOVED FROM SITE AND DISPOSED OF IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL
APPLICABLE LOCAL AND STATE CODES.
7. BORROW MATERIAL: THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH BORROW MATERIAL
REQUIRED FROM OFF SITE AND OBTAIN ALL REQUIRED PERMITS ASSOCIATED
WITH BORROW OPERATIONS.
8. FILL AND COMPACTION: AFTER STRIPPING, THOSE AREAS DESIGNATED TO
RECEIVE FILL SHOULD BE PROOFROLLED WITH A 10-TON VIBRATORY STEEL

MATERIAL IS TOO DRY TO COMPACT TO THE REQUIRED DENSITY EACH LAYER

THE MATERIAL IS TOO WET TO SECURE PROPER COMPACTION, IT SWILL BE
HARROWED REPEATEDLY OR OTHERWISE AERATED WITH SUITABLE EQUIPMENT

IN SUCH A MANNER THAT THE SURFACE WILL DRAIN READILY AT ALL

9. LAYOUT: THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL LAYOUT REQUIRED TO
CONSTRUCT HIS WORK.
10. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOCATION AND PROTECTION OF
