Dear Mr King
On June 20, 2008, the Wilmington Regional Office received a plan revision for
Stormwater Management Permit Number SW8 920913 The revisions included removing part
of the parking lot area to make room for a building expansion Also, a 312 sf pervious concrete
area with 6" gravel base was added at 60% pervious credit for a net addition of 125 sf
impervious area This additional impervious area was offset by reducing existing impervious
area on the service area located on the East side of the building north of the pond By
reducing this asphalt impervious area, the total amount of impervious area has actually been
reduced by 290 sf It has been determined that a formal permit modification is not required for
the proposed changes We are forwarding you an approved copy of the revised plans for your
files Please replace the old approved plan sheets with the new ones
Please be aware that all terms and conditions of the permit issued on November 14,
1996 remain in full force and effect Please also understand that the approval of this revision
to the approved plans for the subject State Stormwater Permit is done on a case -by -case
basis Any other changes to this project must be submitted to and approved through the
Division of Water Quality prior to construction The issuance of this plan revision does not
preclude the permittee from complying with all other applicable statutes, rules, regulations or
ordinances which may have jurisdiction over the proposed activity, and obtaining a permit or
approval prior to construction

Per your e-mail comments of June 19, 2008, please find enclosed two (2) sets of
revised plans for the Bob King Mercedes Building Expansion This project consists of
removing parking lot area to make room for the building expansion This site was
previously permitted under State Stormwater Permit No SW8 920913 on November 1,
2005 No impervious area is being added as part of this plan In fact, the impervious
area of the site is decreasing by 290 square feet

I have recalculated the impervious area numbers and your right I did not
include the pervious concrete pad that got added to the plan at the last
minute I have reduced the existing impervious area on the service area on
the East side of the building just north of the pond By reducing the
asphalt impervious area we have reduce the amount of total impervious area
by 290 SF I am sending a revised letter and plans reflecting the change to
you on Monday

I just reviewed your plans for the subject expansion It appears that
you have taken 100% credit for the 312 sf pervious concrete area Is
this correct' The maximum allowable credit is 60% Therefore, 125 sf
would be considered impervious
This means that you will be increasing the total built -upon area by 105
sf for this project and it would require a modification to the existing
permit Please clarify your intention for this pervious concrete area
