Phase I of the project is located within an existing golf course that will be redeveloped Site topography in the area is relatively flat with slopes typically less than (4) percent The entire project follows the natural drainage pattern of north to south into an Unnamed Tributary and Jinny's Branch, class C,Sw Vegetation consists primarily of grasses, minor ground cover and row pines Subsurface soils on the site are primarily Leon Sands with some silty sands and organics The soils are extremely well drained with high infiltration rates Proposed Improvements: Improvements proposed include drainage devices, streets, and utilities Drainage for the most part will sheet flow from the lots into the streets which will have curb and gutter to direct drainage to low points in the roads Drainage from the low points will dram into 3 stormwater detention ponds designed to treat the first I" of stormwater runoff from all impervious surfaces and control the difference between the pre and post development runoff rate for the 1 year and 10 year 24 hour storm event Drainage Calculation Considerations Drainage on the site will sheet flow to curb inlets within roadway areas Roof drams or gutters from buildings will be utilized where needed to direct the runoff from buildings into the street From there, the drainage will be piped to treatment ponds in accordance with NCDENR Stormwater regulations Erosion Control Considerations: The proposed wet detention pond will provide ample sediment storage for the disturbed area and will be utilized as a temporary sediment basin during construction Inlet protection is to be installed as the curb inlets of the drainage piping system are constructed to minimize the amount of sediment entering the collection system and, ultimately, the temporary sediment basin Erosion Control Measures and Sequence. Temporary construction entrance Temporary sediment basin (wet detention pond) Energy dissipaters at the pipes into and out of the detention pond Temporary inlet sediment protection at storm dram inlets Temporary seeding should construction be halted for the specified time limit (refer to specifications) Remove all temporary erosion control measures once installation of utilities and paving have been completed and a good vegetative ground cover has been established Maintenance Considerations: During construction, the Contractor shall be required to inspect and repair as needed all erosion control devices after any significant ram event Any measure found not performing its intended function should be repaired immediately Upon completion of construction and establishment of permanent ground cover, the Owner shall be responsible for maintenance on the project site WET DETENTION BASIN DATA SHEET OCEAN ISLE PALMS PHASE I A POND # 12 DRAINAGE AREA (Ad) _ IMPERVIOUS AREA (Ai) BUILDINGS ROADS SIDEWALKS C*K CLUB CONTINGENCY 24 82 ACRES 10 19 ACRES 2 19 ACRES 0 02 ACRES 0 OG ACRES 0 07 ACRES TOTAL 12 53 ACRES PERCENT IMPERVIOUS (1) I = Ad/Ai = 50 47% POND # 12 SHALL BE G' DEEP WITH AN AVG DEPTH Of 5' AND DESIGNED TO REMOVE 30% TSS SA/DA= 3 54% REQUIRED SURFACE AREA AT PERMANENT POOL 7/LOT5 @ 0000 SF/LOT ALLEY WAYS SAFtQ= 0 8776834 AC = 38241 SF SURFACE AREA PROVIDED AT PERMANENT POOL (EL 3G)= 95 1 10 SF SA PROV'D= 951 10 > 38241 =SA REQ'D OK MINIMUM REQUIRED VOLUME (SIMPLE METHOD BY TOM SCHUELER) Rv=O 05+0 009'(1) Rv= (0 05+0 009*50 47) Rv= 050423 VOLUME= I `Rv*AcI = 1 04292 AC -PT 45429 FT ^ 3 VOLUME PROVIDED AT TEMPORARY POOL INCREM TOTAL FL SA (SF) VOL, (CF) VOL (CP) 3G 95110 0 0 37 103170 99139 9 991399 38 IOG979 105075 204215 39 110845 106912 313127 40 1147GG 41 123174 112805 425932 118970 544902 SET TEMP POOL ELEVATION REQ'D EL = 3G 4G +--5AY 38 00' VOL PROV'D = 204215 CP VOL PROV'D= 204215 > 45429 =VOL REQ'D OK POREBAY SIZING TM15 POND WILL HAVE TWO POREBAYS ONE WILL FILTER 94% AND THE OTHER POREBAY, G% Of THE ENTIRE DRAINAGE DA51N PERMANENT POOL VOLUME INCREM TOTAL EL SA (5F) VOL (CF) VOL, ICPI 30 70323 0 0 31 73G09 719GG 719GG 32 7G951 75280 14724G 33 80349 78G50 22589G 34 83803 8207G 307971 35 87312 85558 393529 3G 95110 91211 484740 .*---5A 4 DEPTH REQ MET *-AVE DEPTH = VOL / 5A = 5 09GG5 REQ'D VOLUME = 20% Of VOL TOTAL AT MIN REQ'D 5A AND DEPTH = 94 4% REQ'D VOLUME EAST POREBAY= 42G49 I CP 5 G% REQ'D VOLUME WEST POREBAY= 2530 CF CHECK POREBAY VOLUME EASTERN POREBAY INCREM TOTAL EL SA (5F) VOL (CF) VOL, (CP) 30 5798 0 0 31 G823 G310 G310 32 7915 73G9 13G79 33 9073 8494 22172 34 10238 9G85 31858 35 11590 10944 42802 42802 CP 5 O' DEEP POREBAY 45179 42802 42G49 VOL PROV'D= 42802 42G49 =VOL REQ'D OK CHECK POREBAY VOLUME WESTERN FOREBAY INCREM TOTAL EL, SA (5F) VOL (CF) VOL, (CF) 30 34 0 0 31 144 89 89 32 332 238 327 33 597 4G4 791 34 940 7G9 15G0 35 13G0 1150 2710 2710 CF 5 O' DEEP FOREBAY 2710 -= 2530 VOL PROV'D= 2710 2530 =VOL REQ'D OK PROV'D VOLUME _ 02= 0 2G2901 7 CF5 (FOR 2 DAY DRAWDOWN) Q5= 0 105 1 G07 CF5 (FOR 5 DAY DPAWDOWN) SELECT A 3" CIRCULAR ORIFICE, EL 3G 0' (PERM POOL EL ) ORIFICE SIZING REQ'D DRAWDOWN TIME = 2-5 DAYS WHERE Cd= 0 G A= 0 0491 SF g= 32 2 FP5/5 Q PROV'D= 0 23G42 h= AVE HEAD = (TOP OF OUTLET STR -PERM POOL EL )/2 Q PROV'D= Cd`A"(2gh) ^ 112 = 1 DRAWDOWN TIME Q2> 0 23G42 >Q5 OK TIME = VOLUME = 2 224 DAYS Q PROV'D WET DETENTION BASIN DATA SHEET OCEAN ISLE PHASE Ia lflA POND ND # 14v/ DRAINAGE AREA (Ad) = 51 27 ACRES IMPERVIOUS AREA (Ai) BUILDINGS 16 67 ACRES 121 LOTS @ 6000 5F/LOT ROADS 6 4 1 ACRES SIDEWALKS 0 00 ACRES OFF -SITE 0 00 ACRES CONTINGENCY 2 80 ACRES ALLEY WAYS TOTAL 25 88 ACRES PERCENT IMPERVIOUS (1) I = AVAd = 50 48% POND # 14 SHALL BE 13' DEEP WITH AN AVG DEPTH OF T AND DESIGNED TO REMOVE 90% T55 SA/DA= 1 93% REQUIRED SURFACE AREA AT PERMANENT POOL SAUQ= 0 989511 AC = 43103 SF SURFACE AREA PROVIDED AT PERMANENT POOL (EL 8)= 50491 SF 5A PROV'D= 50491 > 43 103 =5A REQ'D OK MINIMUM REQUIRED VOLUME (SIMPLE METHOD DY TOM SCHUELER) Rv=O 05+0 009 (1) Rv= (0 05+0 009 50 5) Rv= 05045 VOLUME= I "'Rv'Ad = 2 15548 AC -FT = 93893 FT^3 VOLUME PROVIDED AT TEMPORARY POOL INCREM TOTAL EL.
