4. Proposed Activity
Provide a detailed description of the proposed activity including its purpose and include the type of equipment to be used: *
* Proposed addition of a 395 SF impervious addition to existing home
- 0 SF in Zone 1 (no impact)
- 193 SF in Zone 2
- 202 SF in Zone 3
- This addition will include a bunkroom, closet and a laundry room.
> Note: One existing bedroom will be renovated/repurposed into an office and a
hallway to enter into the new bunkroom.
As a result of this renovated existing bedroom, the home will NOT add any new
bedrooms.
We will be removing 400 SF - 415 SF of impervious brick steps, brick walkways and
brick patio in zone 1 (see site plan).
- We will be replacing this with new, uncovered, slatted decks added around the
existing sunroom...approx. 378 SF in zone 1.
* We will also add a gable roof over the existing sunroom (currently has a low-
pitch/flat roof). Note: We will keep the same footprint of the current sunroom.
* Per guidance from Robert Tankard (site visit on morning of June 29, 2022 AND,
again, in office meeting on morning of August 23, 2022), we will add gutter and
downspout to drain toward River Acres Rd.
* Type of Equipment to be used:
- Only using a "Georgia Buggy" to transport concrete (other materials) to minimize
impact.
- Using a mini -excavator

I have also included a draft version of the elevations that include the addition of the
proposed uncovered, slatted, decks around the existing sunroom. This also shows
the proposed new gable roof over the sunroom (view from the river).
The elevations also show the proposed new addition of the bunkroom, and laundry
room (view from River Acres Rd).
After the June 29, 2022 visit on site with Robert Tankard as well as the in office visit
with him on August 23rd, my hopes are that I/we have provided adequate preparation
and planning necessary to meet or exceed the needs of this buffer authorization.
This is AND will continue to be our forever "family" home and we will likely will pass
this along to generations to come so, as noted in our meetings, I/we want to make
sure we plan and execute this project correctly to meet or exceed any and all code
requirements.
Please let me know if you need additional information and I/we will respond
immediately.
Note: Robert - your guidance has been extremely helpful to me and Julie and we
can't thank you enough for your support along the way!
Respectfully submitted,
Craig & Julie Edwards
