The system was found to be well maintained and in compliance with permit requirements. The owner & permittee: Mr. Shook was present and had a good understanding of how the system worked and its requirements. The septic tank was reported pumped as required. There are only one or two occupants at this facility and bathrooms only experience occasional day use. The system was not observed to be discharging at the time of the inspection, and the permittee reports never having observed it discharge. No issues of concern were observed in the area of the filter field or the receiving stream. Continue to perform regular maintenance and sampling as required by the permit if discharge occurs. Maintain clear access to the outfall pipe for future inspections by keeping a clear path through vegetation.
