Tapiwyhun, LLC's only purpose is to hold the residential real estate at 16700 Tinker Place; it does not transact any other business in North Carolina. North Carolina statute § 55- 15- 41(b }(11 states that owning real property is not transacting business. My position is that the exception in the statute exempts Tapiwyhun, LLC fi-orn needing to register to do business in North Carolina.
