Hi Jeff,
I took a look at the application today. Please see my comments below.
• Please include information on installing the pump around sequence in the Stream Restoration Specifications and
Notes section on sheet 2.1, so this required step will not be overlooked by the contractor.
• On Sheet 3.1, Item 8 states that work in the stream channel shall be conducted 'in the dry' to the extent
possible. Please know that working in the dry is a requirement, not an option. Please revise the plan set to
denote this requirement.
Please send me a revised plan set after you have made these changes.
Thanks,
Amy Annino

Hi Amy and David,
I hope you both are doing great. The lists I have found online show you as the current DWR and USACE
401/404 contacts for Macon County. I wanted to give you a heads up that I just submitted an online PCN for
the Burningtown Fire Depailiuent Community Conservation Assistance Program (CCAP) project planned by
the local Soil and Water Conservation district and funded by NCDA. Doug Johnson is the District Director of
the Macon County Soil and Water Conservation District and is copied on this email. This proposed project is a
really simple 110 foot stream restoration project consisting of slightly shifting Younce Creek away from the
fire depailment entrance and parking lot, installation of a couple of j-hooks to help maintain the new alignment,
and the installation of a riparian buffer consisting of native species. I have attached the preliminary plans for
your convenience.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can do anything to help.
Thank you,
