Hi Chuck,
Yes, my project will definitely confirm to the Duke Power Nantahala Area Shoreline Management Guidelines in their
entirety including those
specified in Exhibit 3/ Figure 3 relating to construction methods utilizing rip rap installation at the toe of the wall
itself. Kevin Holland from Duke Energy
personally met me on site and we specifically went over this aspect of the project as well.
Thank you,
Peter Klich

I had a look at your project.
• Please confirm your project will conform to the Duke Power Nantahala Area Shoreline Management Guidelines
(attached), specifically Exhibit 3, related to construction methods including rip -rap installation at the toe of any wall (Figure
3).
I can continue my review once I have that information.
Thanks,
Chuck

Just enough pictures so we can see the existing shoreline. One may be enough. The initial application will be sent here
for proper processing and then forwarded to the Asheville Regional Office for review and issuance. Their phone number
is 828 - 296 -4500 and I copied Chuck Cranford and Tim Fox on this email.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hi Shelton,
Yes, I included one picture with a yardstick & shovel .... The application says include a photograph so I assumed you didn't
want multiple ones & hopefully
what I sent will do? I have plenty more and could email them to you if you think that's best. I'm trying to move through the
process as quick as possible so
whatever you can suggest, I'll gladly do.
Thanks again for your feedback.

Hi Shelton,
Thanks for your information....
I happened to send in the 3 copies of the application and other pertinent attachments yesterday exactly as you mentioned
in your email except I didn't
put to Karen's attention, just the address but assume it will get to her. I'm hoping the process goes smoothly so I can
proceed with Dukes application...
I will be readily available if any questions on your side of things arise.
I appreciate your help!

Hi Karen,
I'm getting back around to wanting to build a new seawall and dock on Lake Glenville. Can you tell me if the process first
starts with me meeting with
Kevin from Duke Energy before I submit forms, etc to you? I wasn't sure what forms to use either from that site because
of the technical verbage and
stuff. Any direction you can point me would be much appreciated!

Hello Cyndi,
Would you be able to help me concerning a NC DWQ permit application? I was given a package from
Duke Energy that had your name as the contact person for this as well as a link for the permit application
but it seems like the link is no longer valid.
I would appreciate any help you could provide.
Thank You Very Much,
