Paul Wilms Director Per your letter request dated January 12, 1988, the Technical Support Unit of the Division of Environmental Management will perform the prelimi- nary stream impact analyses for the 201 discharge alternatives in the Gastonia area. A thorough site evaluation for each discharge requires more than just computer modeling and, in order to perform adequate data analyses, it will take our staff approximately 6 to 8 weeks to complete this task. Upon completion, the results will be forwarded to you. Please understand that these results will be preliminary and should not be considered as final wasteload allocations. Final wasteload allocations will he developed after official NPDES permit application has been submitted along with the required application fee.
