Where is the figure that has /J these wetlands delineated and labeled? - Page 30- Riparian Wetland Restoration. Refer reader to Figure 7.4 forlarification, this section is a bit complicated to follow. Label ditch plugs on figure. V Top paragraph, page 31. A ditch plug will be installed approximately 160 If south of the start of T2, the ditch plug does not appear to be in this location, See Figure 7.4 and 2.6, (it would help if all of tribs were on Figure 7.4). Pg 31, describe grading depth to be completed in non - existing spoil areas and indicateg some grading is spoil removal as shown on plansheets. % Pg 32, The headwater reference will be used for hydrology. What is the soil type and predominant tree and shrub species. The planting list did not include species like American elm or Tulip poplar that were found in existing wetland areas along T1 and T2, but did include Q. lyrata and Nyssa aquatica that in very wet areas in natural settings. Pg 33, Ell stream enhancement. I recall T1 looking fairly natural in the field like it did not need much in the way of mitigation. Some structures will be put in...... are these really along the whole length of the stream or in targeted areas. I did not see a plansheet that showed specifically where the structures would be installed. The easement in Norman's pasture II is especially convoluted, will this easement boundary be marked by only signs or fencing or fencing as well to avoid encroachment? P. 40 first scheduled monitoring of vegetation should be 180 d after installation of trees. P. 43, NCDENR, Division of Water Quality accessed in 2014 should be Division of Water Resources Figure with plots and gauges, last page of Appendix C. Add a plot to filled pond area In plan sheets, 8 of 11. Are live stakes being put along entire stream or just in sections, if so indicate where. Again, show structures to be added. A figure with lidar, contour lines, with overlay of flow of proposed wetland and existing streams might be helpful. - 7
