Dear Mr. Khan:
Pursuant to Part E, Section E-6, Table 4, Row 2-ii of the North Carolina General Industrial Stormwater
Permit NCG030000 with effective date July 1, 2021, CORMETECH, Inc. is submitting the following
notification.
Stormwater sampling of Outfall 004 has now resulted in four copper results in excess of the permit
benchmark of 0.010 mg/L. Stormwater sampling of Outfall 006 has now resulted in four copper results in
excess of the permit benchmark of 0.010 mg/L and four zinc results in excess of the permit benchmark of
0.126 mg/L. The table below provides details of the sample dates and results.

In response to these benchmark exceedances for copper and zinc, CORMETECH has done the following:
• Implemented a Tier Three Response in accordance with the requirements detailed in Table 5 on
Page 15 of North Carolina General Industrial Stormwater Permit NCG030000;
• Conducted a stormwater management inspection;

e Initiated sampling and evaluation efforts to identify possible causes of the copper and zinc
benchmark exceedances; and
® Started preparing an Action Plan for submission to the North Carolina Department of
Environmental Quality Mooresville Regional Office for review and approval.
