McGee Modeling Analyst Group Leader Division of Environmental Management Department of Natural and Economic Resources P. 0. Box 27687 Raleigh, North Carolina Dear Mike: Following your request for data concerning the BOD and TKN readings from the present Olympic package plant, I would like to furnish the following information received from our local Health Department officials. The BOD for Olympic obtained by sample on April 29, 1975 has a reading of 335 influent and an effluent of 11 mg per liter or a 97% reduction. The TKN obtained on June 2, 1975 is 0.50 mg per liter on the effluent. It is my understanding from Mr. Ron McMillan of the Health Department that these readings are very satisfactory and we therefore request that consideration for our proposed drainage area be approved for sewage effluent since an identical plant will be used at this proposed site. It is imperative that this school open for use on August 15, 1975 and your immediate consideration of this request would be greatly appreciated. If you need further information, please let me know. Yours very truly, / LIGLlet&i' , 7P%6/ Carroll 0. York,; irector Planning and De"elopment COY:fmb Administrative Offices • Education Center • 701 East Second Street
