From: Scarbraugh, Anthony Sent: Tuesday, August 19, 2014 4:57 PM To: Govoni, Daniel Cc: Dunn, Maria T.; Connell, Brad Subject: Paul Farms Dredging Project Daniel, As stated on my voicemail yesterday, I met with Mr. Clifton Paul concerning the additional information requested by DWR on May 7 and July 1, 2014. I explained to Mr. Paul that a survey of the streambed conducted by WRC staff and myself on May 5, 2014 concluded that very little sediment is present overlaying the clay marine substrata. In addition, the DWR had concerns of perching the Highway 55 triple barrel culvert. I further explained that DWR requested cross section at a minimum of 500 feet apart between to amended project area of below 55 bridge to Cooper Road Bridge. In addition, DWR requested that he address measure to eliminate water quality violation. Mr. Paul agreed to eliminate the excavation of the streambed above 55 bridge. However, Mr. Paul stated that his project area extended beyond Cooper Road bridge to Sawyer Road. I explained to Mr. Paul that was not what was proposed on the CAMA Major Application. I further stated the application requested impacts to approximately 3,500 linear feet of project area not 8,000 linear feet. You may want to contact Mr. Paul to clarify this issue.
