PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that Cayton Development, LLC (P O Box 3361, New Bern, INC 28564) has applied to
the North Carolina Division of Water Resources (DWR) for a 401 Water Quality Certification, pursuant to Section 401 of
the federal Clean Water Act and Title 15A NCAC 02H .0500. The activity for which this certification is sought is to
permanently impact 4.91 acres of wetlands to expand an existing sand mine. DWR must take final action on the•
application prior to October 7, 2014.
The public is invited to comment in writing to DWR on the application described above. Comments should be mailed to
NC DWR, Attn: Jennifer Burdette, 1617 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27669 -1617 or emailed to
jennifer.burdette @ncdenr.gov. Comments mustbe received by DWR no later than close of business on September 7,
2014.
A copy of the application is available online at http://its.enr.state.nc.us/Weblink8/0/fol/237019/Rowl.aspx,. A copy of the
application is also on file at the DWR Central Office and may be inspected with an appointment during normal business
hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) at 512 N. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27604. To schedule an appointment, please

any DWR office; copy machines are available for use. Copies of less than 25 pages are free; copies of greater than 25
