On July 11, 2022, the Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources received your request to
rescind your coverage under Certificate of Coverage Number NCG100163.
Based on our review of your request and the recommendation of our Washington Regional Office,
your request for rescission has been denied. Your request was denied because the facility
operations involve salvage of used agriculture parts and equipment with extensive areas of
equipment and scrap metal stored outside. This facility's operations are like in nature to those
covered under General Permit NCG100000 Used Motor Vehicles. The Regional Office's
recommendation is to continue to operate under the current permit, review and update the SWPPP
as needed, implement appropriate BMPs, and conduct monitoring activities as specified in the
General Permit for at least 2 years. A follow-up inspection may be conducted to determine the
viability for rescission then. Your Certificate of Coverage Number NCG100163 will remain in effect,
and you must continue to comply with your NPDES stormwater permit.
