Subject: Troutman Logistics Center Planting Plan
Follow Up Flag: Follow up
Flag Status: Flagged
Good afternoon,
I reviewed the proposed planting plan for the wet ponds and there are several non-native species and/or species that do
not naturally occur in the region.
Non-native species include the scarlet rosemallow and sweet flag. Species that do not typically occur in that region
include quill sedge and duck potato. Please use native species that naturally occur in Iredell or surrounding counties. You
can check to see if the species are native to Iredell Co. at this website: https://authl.dpr.ncparks.gov/flora/index.php
Ideally, native species should also be used in landscaping. Please do not use non-native species for temporary seeding,
such as lespedeza.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.
