ON BLANKET TYPE. TO ENSURE PROPER SEAM ALIGNMENT, PLACE THE EDGE OF THE OVERLAPPING BLANKET (BLANKET BEING
INSTALLED ON TOP) EVEN WITH THE COLORED SEAM STITCH -ON THE PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED BLANKET.
5. CONSECUTIVE BLANKETS SPLICED DOWN THE SLOPE MUST BE PLACED END OVER END (SHINGLE STYLE) WITH AN APPROXIMATE
3" (7.5cm) OVERLAP. STAPLE THROUGH OVERLAPPED AREA, APPROXIMATELY 12" (30cm) APART ACROSS ENTIRE

CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE
1. CONTACT THE DEMLR WINSTON-SALEM REGIONAL OFFICE AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO
COMMENCING THE LAND -DISTURBING ACTIVITY. THE CONTACT NUMBER IS (336) 776-9800.
2. EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL (E&SC) PERMIT AND CERTIFICATION OF COVERAGE
(COC) MUST BE OBTAINED BEFORE AND LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES OCCUR.
3. NO WORK SHALL OCCUR IN FLOWING WATER.
4. THE BOUNDARY OF ALL WETLAND AREAS ARE TO BE MARKED. DISTURBANCE WITHIN THE
WETLANDS IS PROHIBITED UNLESS NOTED ON THE PERMITTED WETLAND REMOVAL PLANS.
5. INSTALL SITE CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE, STONE STAGING, AND MOBILIZATION AREA.
6. INSTALL ALL PERIMETER EROSION CONTROL MEASURES AS REQUIRED BY THE APPROVED
PLANS, INCLUDING SILT FENCES, BARRIERS AND DIVERSION DITCHES AS NEEDED.

15. THE CURRENT VERSION OF THE DEMLR MONITORING FORM IS TO BE USED FOR SELF
INSPECTION OF THIS PROJECT.
16. PERIMETER MEASURES MUST BE LEFT IN PLACE UNTIL ALL UPLAND AREAS ARE
PERMANENTLY STABILIZED. AFTER SITE IS PERMANENTLY STABILIZED, REMOVE ALL
TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL MEASURES AND PROVIDE PERMANENT SEEDING WHERE
TEMPORARY MEASURES HAVE BEEN REMOVED AND GROUND COVER IS NOT ADEQUATE.
SEDIMENT BASINS MAY NOT BE REMOVED OR CONVERTED TO PERMANENT BMPS UNTIL
ALL UPLAND AREAS ARE PERMANENTLY STABILIZED. ALL EROSIONS CONTROL MEASURES
INCLUDING SEDIMENT BASINS MUST BE REMOVED. IF DEWATERING IS NECESSARY TO
ABANDON SEDIMENT BASINS, USE PUMP AND DEWATERING BAG. SEE C933 FOR DETAILS.
17. PER NPDES REQUIREMENTS, A RAIN GAUGE, SELF -INSPECTIONS RECORDS, PERMIT,
CERTIFICATE OF COVERAGE, AND S&E PLAN ARE REQUIRED TO BE MAINTAINED ON SITE
AND ACCESSIBLE DURING INSPECTION. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THESE ITEMS BE PLACED
IN A PERMITS BOX AT THE BEGINNING OR ENTRANCE OF PROJECT.
18. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONDUCT SELF -INSPECTIONS OF THE EROSION AND SEDIMENT
CONTROL MEASURES AND COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING COMBINED SELF -INSPECTION FORM
FOUND ON THE DEMLR WEBSITE. HTTPS: //FILES.NC.GOV/NCDEQ/ENERGY%20MINERAL

INSPECTION FORMS SHALL BE KEPT ON -SITE AND AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION AT ALL
TIMES. IT IS RECOMMENDED A COPY BE KEPT IN A PERMITS BOX.
19. SELF INSPECTIONS FOR EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL MEASURES ARE TO BE
PERFORMED AT LEAST ONCE EVERY SEVEN CALENDAR DAYS AND WITHIN 24 HOURS OF
EVERY RAIN EVENT OF GREATER THAN 1 INCH. ANY NEEDED REPAIRS SHALL BE MADE
IMMEDIATELY TO MAINTAIN MEASURES AS DESIGNED. ALL ESC MEASURES SHALL BE
MAINTAINED AS SPECIFIED IN THE CONSTRUCTION DETAILS ON THIS PLAN. A RAIN GAUGE
SHALL BE INSTALLED AT THE PROJECT SITE FOR MONITORING.
20. PERMANENT GROUND COVER SHALL BE ESTABLISHED IN 90 CALENDAR DAYS. HOWEVER,
NPDES GROUNDCOVER REQUIREMENTS TAKE PRECEDENCE.
21. ALL BARE SOILS ARE TO BE STABILIZED UNDER CONDITIONS OUTLINED IN THE CURRENT
NPDES PERMIT OR, IF IT A CRITICAL AREA, BY THE END OF THE DAY.
22. TREES OUTSIDE THE LIMITS OF DISTURBANCE MAY NOT BE REMOVED SO AS TO ALLOW
ADDITIONAL SUNLIGHT TO HIT THE SOLAR PANELS.
23. REMAINING MEASURES MUST BE REMOVED AND RESULTING BARE AREAS STABILIZED
BEFORE PERMIT CAN BE CLOSED.
24. WHEN THE PROJECT IS COMPLETE, THE PERMITTEE SHALL CONTACT DEMLR TO CLOSE OUT
THE E&SC PLAN. AFTER DEMLR INFORMS THE PERMITTEE OF THE PROJECT CLOSE
OUT, VIA INSPECTION REPORT, THE PERMITTEE SHALL VISITDEQ.NC.GOV/NCGO1 TO
SUBMIT AN ELECTRONIC NOTICE OF TERMINATION (E-NOT). A $100 ANNUAL GENERAL
PERMIT FEE WILL BE CHARGED UNTIL THE E-NOT HAS BEEN FILLED OUT.
MAINTENANCE INSPECTIONS SHALL BE PERFORMED WEEKLY AND AFTER EACH RAINFALL. ALL
REPAIRS NECESSARY SHOULD BE MADE IMMEDIATELY AND IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH NCDEQ
STANDARDS AND NPDES PERMIT.
NCDEQ EROSION CONTROL NOTES
GENERAL: ALL EROSION CONTROL MEASURES ARE TO BE PERFORMED IN STRICT ACCORDANCE
WITH REQUIREMENTS OF NCDEQ. THE FOLLOWING CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE SHALL BE COMPLIED

NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY (NCDEQ). ALL SITEWORK
SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL REGULATORY

CONCRETE WASHOUTS
