1. According to the Soil Investigation Results, seven borings were conducted in the proposed field.
However, only the profile description of boring #7 was provided in the application. Please provide
all boring descriptions for review.
2. The Submitted setback map for field YP-01 does not include the property lines of the site, just the
property line setback. Per 15A NCAC 02T .1104(c)(1)(D), the setback map shall depict the
relationship of land application site features, including property boundaries within 500 feet of the
land application site. Please update the site map for the new field to include property boundaries.
3. The submitted setback map for field YP-01 includes a dotted blue line, labelled Surface Water
Diversion 25, which is not buffered. The Mooresville Regional Office noted that this feature is a
conveyance to a culvert along the south side of the field, which is not indicated on the map. These
features shall be depicted on an updated map with the appropriate setback in accordance with 15A
NCAC 02T .1108(c). Any changes in the acreage due to these modifications shall be shown in an
updated LASC.
4. Mooresville Regional Office staff noted that there is a culvert present along Vic Court at the north
end of the property, which is roughly parallel to the culvert noted Item F.3. This drainage feature

shall be shown on an updated site map with the appropriate buffer in accordance with .1108(c).
Any changes in the acreage due to this modification shall be shown in an updated LASC.
5. Upon review of the setback map for field YP-01, it was noted that the residence located at 341 Vic
Court, owned by Yolanda T. Prince, had a setback radius of 100 feet instead of 400 feet. The owner
of this house is not the property owner, nor the owner of the land containing the proposed field, so
this would be considered a habitable residence under separate ownership according to .1108(c),
with an associated 400-foot setback for surface application by vehicle. No setback waiver was
found within the Alexander County Register of Deeds. In order to use the 100-foot setback, a
setback waiver shall be signed, notarized, and registered in the register of deeds per 15A NCAC
02T .1108(e). If a setback waiver is not pursued, the structure shall be buffered out of the field in a
new setback map, and the reduction in acreage shall be shown in an updated LASC.
