Home My WebLink About20181249 Ver 10_R-2721A Permit Changes Summary 07172022_20220621 July 18, 2022 R-2721A Summary of Permit Changes During the approval process for the Design Noise Report noise walls were added that affected four permitted wetland sites. The four permitted wetland sites affected are Sites 6, 12, 13, and 38. The addition of the noise wall increased the shoulder width causing the fill slope to extend further into wetland areas than it had previously. For all four sites the quantity of wetland area impacted did not change but rather the area of the type of impacts changed. In-depth site location and a description of the changes can be found below. Updated stream and wetland permit drawings that illustrate the changes are included. Site 6 --LREV- Station 55+47 LT to -LREV- Station 57+00 LT—0.01 acres that were previously permitted as excavation in wetland impacts are now permitted as fill in wetland impacts. Site 12 -LREV- Station 79+90 LT to -LREV- Station 80+97 LT—0.02 acres that were previously permitted as mechanized clearing impacts are now permitted as fill in wetland impacts. Site 13 -LREV- Station 81+20 LT to -LREV- Station 81+81 LT—0.01 acres that were previously permitted as mechanized clearing impacts are now permitted as fill in wetland impacts. Site 38 -L- Station 211+06 LT to -L- Station 211+70 LT — 0.01 acres that were previously permitted as mechanized clearing impacts are now permitted as fill in wetland impacts. The permanent wetland impact acreage in the Neuse River Basin (HUC 03020201) remains the same at 14.60 acres (which includes 0.02 acres of isolated wetlands) and the permanent wetland impact acreage in the Cape Fear River Basin (HUC 03030004) remains the same at 0.01 acres. The impacts to isolated wetlands remain the same at 0.02 acres.Revised Table 8 has been included to reflect changes in impacts to R-272 1A and illustrate the jurisdictional resources impact. There are no changes to the mitigation requirements. Changes to impacts are shown in bold font. Please note that impacts previously permitted are not shown as a deduction in Table 8 since they were already constructed. Only new impacts are shown to account for what will be happening during construction. However, the impacts listed on the Permit Summary Sheets do reflect the deduction from the original permitted type amounts and the addition of the new requested permit type amounts. Table 8 shows what is being changed, while the Permit Summary Sheets record the actual impact tally. Table 8.
