HomeMy WebLinkAbout20220410 Ver 1_1970 Deep Cree Run Narrative_20220714Narrative Revised 7/14/22 As acting agent for DJM-NC, LLC c/o Dan Smith, I am submitting a CAMA Major Permit application for their property located at 1970 Deep Creek Run, Wilmington, in New Hanover County. The existing property is to be subdivided into 3 separate waterfront lots each with its own docking facility. As proposed, each pier will be 6' in width and varying lengths (Lot 1 = 410', Lot 2 = 457' and Lot 3 = 531') at the terminal end of each pier will be a 16' x 16' covered platform. Waterward of the platforms will be an 8' x 16' floating dock, each with a 14' x 14' boatlift on one side creating a 2-slip docking facility for each lot. As proposed, the structures will slightly exceed the 1/4 width of the waterbody limitation which is 164' since the width of the waterbody measures 655' in this location however, they will not exceed the adjacent pierhead line and will not encroach into the adjacent 15' riparian corridor setbacks. A new 435'long vinyl retaining wall with a 10' long return wall, constructed like a bulkhead will be installed just landward of the 404 Wetlands. The tie -back system will extend 20' landward of the wall. A new 181' long stone landscape wall will also be installed along the landward side of the 404 Wetlands and the existing large bamboo area located along the eastern side of the property. The DWR pre -filing meeting request has been filled out on the website and a copy of the return email resulting from that submittal is included in this CAMA Major Permit application. • The project proponent hereby certifies that all information contained herein is true, accurate, and complete to the best of my knowledge and belief • The project proponent hereby requests that the certifying authority review and take action on this CWA 401 certification request within the applicable reasonable period of time.
