The purpose of the evaluation was to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit WQ0018992. Don and Karrie O'Mara were present during the inspection. This extended aeration treatment plant with a high -rate infiltration, drip irrigation system is permitted for 43,200 gpd. The 2021-2022 flow averaged —7000 gpd during the winter season and—20,000 gpd in the summer. Repairs to the hurricane damaged condo buildings are almost completed. There are plans to replace the EQ tank along with the splitter box and electrical panel in the near future. The plant does not have a chlorine contact chamber and disinfection contact time has to take place in the dosing tank before it discharges to the drip irrigation fields. Staff has been able to adequately disinfect in spite of the challenges. A file review since the last inspection in July of 2020 shows no effluent violations and 3 incidences of slight elevation of TDS levels in MW #1 and MW #3. The facility is compliant with Non -Discharge Permit WQ0018992. Please review the comment sections of the inspection report for more details.
