AlbemarlereceivedfundingthroughtheDivisionofWaterInfrastructurefor$16,453,000in fundingforamajorrenovationtotheLongCreekWastewaterTreatmentPlant.Theprimary objectiveoftheprojectistotransitiontheaerationprocessfromthefloatingaeratorsoverto diffusedaeration.Theprojectwouldalsoprovidefor8,000,000gallonsofflowequalization volumetomanagepeakflowevents. 2. TheEngineeringReportwassubmittedtotheNCDEQWastewaterProjectsUnitonAugust25, 2021. 3. ARequestforAdditionalInformationwasreceivedonNovember9th,2021. 4. TherevisedEngineeringReportwassubmittedbacktotheDivisionofWaterInfrastructureon December8th,2021. 5. Theprojectcosthasincreasedto$19,385,000.ThiswaspresentedtotheAlbemarleCityCouncil inDecemberof2021andCouncilreͲaffirmedtheircommitmenttotheproject. 6. TheFinalEngineeringReportwassubmittedonApril18th,2022.Weexpecttoreceivewritten approvalfromNCDEQDWIanydaynow. 7. OnJune22,2022,theCitysubmittedarevisedSOCapplicationwithnewproposedmilestone completiondates.Thesedatesreflectthescopeandtimelineoftheproposedimprovementsat theWWTP,projectCS370522Ͳ08.Pleaseseethetablebelowforthosemilestonesanddates:  Scheduled Activity Original Due Date Proposed Due Date Submit Quarterly Progress Reports (see details in paragraph 2(b) below.) Albemarle’sCouncilvotedtoutilizeallfundsobligatedunderCS370522Ͳ07ongravitysewer rehabilitation.ThePhase3projectincludesaninvestmentof$6,156,000ontherehabilitationof 24”,18”,12”,and8”gravityseweralongtwomajoroutfallsthatareknownsourcesofinflowand infiltration. 9. TheprojectCS370522Ͳ07iscurrentlyinthedesignphaseandwillbesubmittedtoDWIforreview February2022.TheprojectisexpectedtobeginconstructionintheSummerof2022andtake approximatelyninemonthstocomplete. 10. TheprojectdesignpackageforprojectCS370522Ͳ07wassubmittedtoDWIinearlyFebruary.DWI completeditsreviewandprovidedcommentsonApril1st,2022.Finaldesignpackagewas submittedonJuly7th.WereceivedPlansandSpecificationsFundingApprovalfromNCDWIon July12th.WeplantoadvertisethismonthandopenbidsinearlySeptember2022. 11. OnJune22,2022,theCitysubmittedarevisedSOCapplicationwithnewproposedmilestone completiondates.Theproposedworkforthecollectionsystemisslatedtobecompletedby November30,2023.Pleaseseethetablebelowforthemilestonesandproposedcompletion dates:  Scheduled Activity Original Due Date in Executed SOC Proposed Due Date Submit Quarterly Progress Reports (see details in paragraph 2(b) below.)
