Subject: Southside Stormwater Management Project - NCWRC review
Hi Amanda and Andrew,
I have reviewed the information sent to me about the Southside Stormwater Management Project, which
proposes to impact 0.273 acre of wetland in order to establish a stormwater management system and restore a
degraded wetland in Buncombe County.
The project should not impact wild trout and a trout moratorium is not needed for this project. Restored
wetlands will be used to treat incoming stormwater. We support this innovative project, which should benefit
downstream water quality, restore wildlife habitat, and benefit the Southside community of Asheville.
