Project Description — This project involves the replacement of Pitt County Bridge No. 20, an existing
69' long by 25' wide timber bridge with a 95' long by 30' wide box beam bridge. In accordance with
Neuse Buffer Reg Wations, the bridge does not contain deck drains Therefore all stormwater from the
bridge will be directed into a drainage system via shoWder berm gutters. AH runoff from the roadway not
captured by the drainage system will flow across vegetated roadway shoulders onto existing ground.
