I'm working for Hanson on their Crabtree Quarry. We're in the delineation phase right now with an
anticipated IP forthcoming for a pit expansion project. Please keep this confidential for now. I'd like
to schedule a date with you all to confirm the streams and jurisdictional waters and begin discussion
on the upcoming IP. It would be great if we could all meet on the same day, but if that puts it out too
far, then I'd like to meet with Cherri and David individually (or together) to confirm the streams and
jurisdiction and follow up with a pre - application meeting with Jennifer and everyone later. Please let
me know your earliest availability. We should probably schedule the site verifications for a day where
you don't have anything else scheduled. It shouldn't take the entire day, but probably a very good
portion of it. Once we figure out how the dates work out, I'll follow up with the appropriate request
forms and map packets (if that's ok).
Cherri & Jennifer:
Based on recent quarry projects, they believe that they have a strong case for grandfathering from
the Neuse Buffer rules and intend to submit a vested right request soon. That said, I'd still like to get
the stream calls made with Cherri in case it doesn't pan out, and also to make I/P calls.
